This wetland is located in the Ooty Taluk & is also highly polluted. The source is from the Marlimundh area. The area of the wetland is about 2.378 acres & is 2150 M above sea level. The other half to the left of the road is fenced by the HADP as part of the wetland conservation plan.
Biological and botanical condition
The vegetation comprises of the upland species like Cytisus, Ulex and Pine plantation surrounding the wetland. The open part of the wetland was dominant with aquatic plants like Eichorrnia, Rorippa and Arum spp. Acorus, Juncus spp. was found the marshy part of the wetland.
