The rainfall data from Ralliah Dam collected with an automated rain gauge has been analysed and compared to the historic rainfall data from UPASI. The chart below summarises the comparison. While the rainfall in 2014 has been higher than the historical average during August – October, the rainfall has disappointed in July, November and December. It appears that the monsoon picked up momentum later than usual and withdrew a bit early.
